We are very pleased to announce that the Thyroid UK 2014 Conference was a huge success! Our conference, which was held at the National Motorcycle Museum Conference Centre in Solihull, gave people an opportunity to learn about thyroid disease and related conditions as well as meet up with others and enjoy a relaxing day.
Dr Chris Steele MBE, resident doctor on the This Morning programme, was our keynote speaker and the delegates were alternately laughing and cheering throughout his talk!

The feedback from the delegates shows that they really enjoyed the whole day and would come again. To see the full programme of the conference click here
The raffle was a great success too with lots of happy faces from the winners! We are very grateful to our 2014 sponsors for helping us hold this event - to see the list of our sponsors, click here.
A full report of the conference will be in the next issue (issue V111) of our member magazine, Harmony. If you would like to join Thyroid UK and receive our member magazine, please go here
A transcript has been made of the talk by Dr John Midgley about the history of thyroid testing which is extremely interesting!

A video was taken of the speakers by a volunteer, this may take some time to edit, but we hope to be able to place some of the talks on our YouTube page. We will keep you informed of the progress of this.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all our volunteers who worked so hard planning the conference and on the day and helped us to make such a success of the conference.
We received a lovely bouquet of flowers from “the delegates” so if you organised or contributed to these THANK YOU VERY MUCH from Lyn and Louise – they are so beautiful as you can see here!
Sabera Bham took some wonderful photographs of the conference without charge which you can see below – thank you very much Sabera!
